Alumitec Racing is proud to announce the arrival of a new driver in its Open Division: Ofek Eliyahu, a young Israeli talent whose rapid progression and consistent performances have attracted attention across European paddocks. This recruitment marks a new milestone in Alumitec’s strategy to position its Open Division as a true incubator for international talent.
A Career Built on Passion and Performance
Born in Israel, Ofek Eliyahu discovered motorsport in his teenage years and developed his skills through amateur karting competitions between 2010 and 2013, refining his braking techniques, racing lines, and power management. His career took a decisive turn in 2021 when he entered the Israeli Time Attack Championship. Driving a BMW M140i, he impressed with his precision and composure, quickly establishing himself as one of the championship’s most promising drivers.
In 2023, Ofek claimed the Israeli National Time Attack title in the 245–340 horsepower category with a Honda Type R, demonstrating exceptional consistency and mechanical mastery. That same year, he discovered the Radical series, renowned for its ultra-lightweight and demanding prototypes. His first full season revealed a driver who is fast, disciplined, and analytical—quick to learn, highly effective in communication with engineers, and capable of consistently improving his lap times session after session.
A Proven Champion with a Pure Competitive Mindset
The year 2024 confirmed Ofek Eliyahu as one of the rising figures in Israeli motorsport. He won the Radical Israel Championship, securing pole position in nearly every race of the season and conceding only one round due to a braking issue. This technical dominance, combined with a calm and methodical temperament, defines the ideal profile of a modern racing driver: intelligent, determined, and consistent.
In March 2025, he achieved a major milestone by breaking the outright lap record at the MotorCity circuit, becoming the fastest driver ever on that track. A few months later, in September 2025, he stood out once again with a podium finish (P2) in the NASCAR Euro Series Rookie Challenge at Oschersleben (Germany), confirming that he is now ready to take the next step on the European stage. Currently leading the 2025 Radical Championship, he will join Alumitec Racing at the end of the season to prepare for the 2026 campaign.
A Strategic Recruitment for Alumitec Racing
“We are extremely happy to welcome Ofek Eliyahu into the Alumitec family,” said Alain Lord Mounir, Team Principal & CEO of Alumitec Racing. “He is a complete, disciplined, and ambitious driver. His track record is remarkable—he has won everywhere he has raced—and his attitude off the track perfectly reflects our values: hard work, respect, and humility.”
“Ofek embodies the new generation of drivers: rigorous, analytical, and hungry for progress,” Lord Mounir continued. “I truly believe he can become one of the fastest drivers in Europe in the medium term. Our mission is to provide him with the right environment and tools to fully express his potential.”
Integration Beginning in January 2026
Ofek Eliyahu’s integration program will begin in January 2026. He will take part in a series of private tests, simulator sessions, and data analysis workshops with Alumitec’s technical department engineers. This preparatory work will allow him to adapt his driving style to the demands of the Open Division and to build a season focused on consistency and continuous improvement.
“I am honored to join Alumitec Racing,” said Ofek Eliyahu. “It is a team that breathes passion and precision. I am eager to represent the Alumitec colors, to learn from the best, and to give my maximum on every lap.”
A Shared Vision: Building the Future of Motorsport
The recruitment of Ofek Eliyahu highlights Alumitec Racing’s commitment to youth and diversity. The Open Division aims to develop well-rounded drivers capable of progressing to higher levels of international competition. Alumitec engineers, analysts, and coaches will work closely with Ofek to refine every aspect of his preparation: data analysis, tire management, race strategy, and mental endurance.
“We believe in excellence-driven development,” concluded Lord Mounir. “Ofek is not just an addition to our team—he represents the future of the Alumitec project: passion, talent, and a constant desire to push beyond limits.”
