Alumitec Racing is proud to announce that Nelson Piquet Jr. will join the team for the upcoming season, bringing with him world-class experience, exceptional versatility, and a proven championship pedigree.
Recognized as one of the most adaptable drivers in modern motorsport, Piquet Jr. has built a career competing successfully across multiple disciplines including Formula One, Formula E, and NASCAR. His ability to transition between different technologies, racing formats, and competitive environments has made him one of the most respected drivers of his generation.
Piquet Jr. made history in Formula E when he became the inaugural Formula E World Champion in 2015, demonstrating exceptional racecraft and adaptability in the pioneering all-electric championship.
Across his NASCAR career in the United States, Piquet Jr. claimed three race victories a remarkable achievement for an international driver, and one of the very few Brazilians to have won races in American stock-car racing, reinforcing his reputation as a driver capable of adapting quickly and performing across very different racing environments.
The Brazilian driver is the son of three-time Formula One World Champion Nelson Piquet, continuing one of the most iconic legacies in motorsport while building his own reputation as a highly skilled and versatile competitor.
Alumitec Racing finished second in the championship last season, confirming the team’s competitiveness at the front of the field.
For the upcoming season, the organization is determined to take the final step and secure the title.
