Raphaël Lessard completed a perfect weekend at Autodrom Most by winning Sunday’s OPEN Championship race and securing an extraordinary double victory for Alumitec Racing.
Following his dramatic last-lap triumph on Saturday, Lessard returned to the track determined to prove that his first victory was no coincidence.
This time, he did not wait until the final lap.
Starting alongside championship leader Thomas Toffel, the Canadian immediately attacked and completed the decisive pass on the opening lap. Once in front, Lessard controlled the race with confidence behind the wheel of the No. 11 Alumitec Racing Ford Mustang.
Despite constant pressure from Toffel, he remained composed and maintained a strong, consistent pace until the chequered flag.
The victory was Lessard’s third of the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season and completed the first weekend sweep of his European NASCAR career.
“The team gave me an incredible car throughout the entire weekend,” said Lessard after the race. “The setup was extremely strong, even as the track conditions changed. Everyone at Alumitec Racing worked hard to make this possible.”
His two victories at Autodrom Most demonstrated his versatility as a driver. On Saturday, he won with patience and a decisive final-lap attack. On Sunday, he took command immediately and controlled the race from the front.
For Alumitec Racing, the sweep represented the result of months of development, preparation and teamwork.
Lessard’s perfect weekend also strengthened his position among the leading OPEN Championship contenders as the series prepared to enter the double-points playoff rounds.
