Alumitec Racing is proud to announce the return of Italian driver Gianmarco Ercoli for the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season. The 2023 European Champion and one of the most respected figures in the paddock, Ercoli rejoins Alumitec with a renewed and highly ambitious program focused squarely on championship success.
A Natural Alliance of Performance and Passion
In 2026, both parties reunite with a clear objective: returning to the top.
“Gianmarco is more than a talented driver he is a complete competitor, methodical and exceptionally consistent,” said Alain Lord Mounir, Team Principal and CEO of Alumitec Racing. “We share the same long-term vision: building a team capable of sustained dominance. His return was the obvious choice.”
Ercoli echoed the enthusiasm:
“Coming back to Alumitec feels like coming home. The new headquarters located in the Paris region shows how the team is evolving into a true factory-style operation. This is the right environment to fight for the 2026 title.”
A 2026 Program Built to Win
The 2026 season is set to be one of the most competitive in recent NASCAR Euro Series history, with races at Valencia, Le Castellet, Brands Hatch, Zolder, Most, and Vallelunga. Ercoli will drive a fully rebuilt Ford race car, prepared at Alumitec Racing’s new technical headquarters near Paris.
Romain Iannetta, Chief Operating Officer, added:
“Gianmarco’s analytical feedback, combined with his tire and engine management, gives us an exceptional data foundation. With him, we can attack from the very first race.”
A Factory-Level European Commitment
Ercoli’s return marks a new phase for Alumitec Racing as a fully integrated, European-style factory team. With in-house data analysis, logistics, and communications, Alumitec is setting a new benchmark for the series.
“Our goal is simple,” concluded Lord Mounir.
“Nothing less than reclaiming the NASCAR Euro Series title in 2026.”
